The following are “Live Dogs” (i.e. Underdogs who have a legit chance to win outright) in week 2:

FIU +10 vs. Maryland. FIU led Indiana by two points in the 4th Qtr last week, but mistakes doomed the Panthers upset bid. FIU has a veteran offense that should be able to correct those mistakes in week two.
Penn St +6 @Pitt. I predicted Penn State would finish 9-3 this season. Beating Pitt will go a long way toward hitting that nine win mark.
Arkansas +7.5 @ TCU. The Horned Frogs gave up 41 points to South Dakota State.
South Carolina +6.5 @ Miss St. The Gamecocks edged Vandy on the road last week. The Bulldogs choked in an embarrassing home loss to South Alabama.
BYU +3.5 @ Utah. BYU lost to Utah by only a TD in last years Las Vegas Bowl – despite losing the turnover battle by -5.
Texas Tech +3.5 @ Az State. The Aztecs gave up 369 yards in the air to Northern Arizona. Tech QB Patrick Mahomes is very mobile, has a great arm, and has a stable full of veteran receivers at his disposal.
Cal +7.5 @ San Diego State. Cal beat the Aztecs 35-7 last season.
Rice +9/9.5 @ Army. Army stunned Temple last week, 28-13. The key stat in the Black Knights victory: Army was +3 in the turnover margin. Shocking stat of the game: Army passed for only 15 yards.
UTSA +12 @ Colorado State. Colorado State won this game by only two points last season. The Roadrunners are better this year. The Rams? Not so much.
